My inspo? My daughter and her boyfriend. They do Bloombie walks to chill and reconnect with nature. So I grabbed my pups, Kobe and Chili, and hit the pavement to explore with fresh eyes.
Step 1: The De-stress Walk ✌️
Chill. Don't force it.
Just walk and see what catches your eye. Maybe it's some cool bamboo like Kobe spotted, or some vibrant flowers like Chili sniffed out. I even switched up my usual matcha for a yuzu lemonade at a cute coffee shop – gotta keep things fresh, right?
Kobe helped me noticed Bamboo. Next Chili found drew my attention to these nice bright orange flowers called Lantana
Here's the twist:
Instead of tossing stuff, collect it! ♻️ That dandelion some might call a weed? It's actually a vitamin-packed powerhouse! And that gold wrapper you found? Maybe it's your Bloombie's next golden outfit! .
Step 2: Flow with the Find-spiration
Forget about following a plan – this is all about vibing in the moment. Lay out your treasures and see what speaks to you. Maybe some leaves become fairy wings, or some twigs become a funky hairstyle.
Just a heads up, you might need some extra stuff:
- Scissors ✂️
- Maybe some putty to hold things in place
- Double-sided tape for those tricky bits 🟨
- Red masking tape for a Bloombie mouth (optional)
Step 3: Let's Get Creative!
Here's what I did with my finds:
- Used red masking tape for a simple mouth (easily changeable if I feel like a makeover later).
- Puttied some dried eucalyptus leaves on as fairy wings.
- Used the side holes for plant ponytails (trim to your Bloombie's style!).
- Made a criss-cross top with the golden wrapper (check out the pics for inspo!).
- Wrapped the body with a skirt-length piece of the wrapper,, secured with double-sided tape.
